Who are you and why am I interviewing you?
I am Jay (Guitar/Vocals) from the band Sertraline and you are interviewing me because you think I am jesus? im not sure
Tell me about your band.
Well me and Chris (drummer) started this band about a year and a half ago, had a hell of a time finding a good bass player, had a lot of bad ones comming through until Eric (bass) who is Chris' brother decided to start playing with us and it really came together. We all clicked right away and started booking shows right away. We all just love playing shows, playing music. It's our lives
Where'd you cum up with the band name? What does it mean?
Finding a name for our band was pretty rough, we diddn't want something normal and ordinary so we kept trying to think of words that people diddn't say enough. Then I remembered the name Sertraline (sir-tra-lean) which is also known as Zoloft, an anti-depressant
What is the band currently up to, and what does the future hold for Sertraline?
We are currently finishing up some tracks at Tyne Side Studios, should be done soon. Writing a lot of music, trying out different sounds. The future? I don't even know, I just really like playing shows a lot and wouldn't mind doing a small tour when we are finished the CD. After that? time will tell
What are the bands main influences?
Nirvana, Metallica, Slipknot, Scorpions,
Describe your bands sound.
This is hard, we all have many different influences, and it shows throughout different songs, but I guess I would have to say Progressive Grunge.

What should people know about your band that they don't already know?
If they don't know, then they should just check us out and experience it.
Why should people care about you and your band?
Because you gotta care about something. We're just a fun band, everyone always seems to have fun around us. Fun is something worth caring about.
Does the band have any groupies?
Apparently we do, I at one point had a stalker girl comming to shows, very brutal times
What was your worst sexual experience?
Is it possible to have a bad sexual experience?
I don't know, ask your girlfriend!!

What is the best drunken story you can think of?
We were drinking and practicing all night, at about 5 in the morning we decided to hook up a flat trailor to the truck. Chris and I decided to surf on it. Came very close to taking a fall.

Who in the band has the smelliest armpits? & is that before or after playing?
That would definetley be Chris, dude he sweats like there is no tommorow before and after the show.
If you could make-up a new music festival what 6 bands would be on the main stage?
Spineshank, Ill Nino, Linkin Park (I know i know MAINSTREAM, but stage wise? they put on a good show), Metallica, Harem Scarem, Dokken.
What do you find most stimulating about the opposite sex?
The mindset of the opposite sex is very stimulating, guys have NO CLUE what the hell is going on, I find it interesting and stimulating to try and analyze
Ever been attracted to a Disney cartoon character?
Snow White, you just know she's into kink hardcore. Look at all the dudes she's with
If you had to pick the next Prime Minister of Canada, and it had to be someone from the Canadian Music Industry, who would you pick and why?
How about someone from Sum41? I think they got pretty cool attitudes for a band in their current position. I think politics lack good fun, we need more good fun. Have a beer, drop your damn gun and grab a cup of shut the hell up. Hmmm on the other hand maybe I would do some good?
If you could have three wishes right now, what would they be?
1. To be playing a show right this second
2. To know exactly what the hell the meat is at Mcdonalds
3. To have another 3 wishes to wish for better things (IM GREEDY!)

What is the best concert you've been to?
I would have to say Summer Sanitarium 2003 at Skydome, I all around had a great time. Getting stranded in toronto all night drunk at a tim hortons. It was such a long show, so energetic.
